Meet Ryan Chambers

Start

Ryan Chambers, the creative force behind Musical Advice, has a deep connection to music that began in the halls of Farmersville ISD. It was there, under the mentorship of “The Maestro,” Mr. Cross, that Ryan’s love for music blossomed. Honing his craft, he excelled as a bass clarinetist, earning a coveted spot in the All-State Band twice—2010 and 2011. To Ryan, the bass clarinet isn’t just an instrument; it’s “God’s instrument,” a voice of resonance and depth.

After graduating, Ryan poured his heart into teaching and leading young musicians. Over five years at Crane ISD, he served as High School Assistant Band Director and Middle School Head Director. His leadership wasn’t just about teaching notes and rhythms; it was about cultivating excellence. Under his guidance, both the high school and middle school bands achieved sweepstakes at the UIL Concert and Sight Reading competitions every year. The Crane High School marching band also reached the UIL State Championships three times, proudly placing in the top 10 twice.

Now, Ryan is back in his hometown, eager to give back to the community that shaped him. “I’m so excited to come home and be a part of the great tradition that has been built here, and start working with the great kids of Farmersville ISD,” he says.

A Family That Plays Together Stays Together

Music is a family affair for Ryan. Married for 10 years to his high school sweetheart, Amanda, he finds inspiration in their three children—Samuel (7), Madeline (4), and Allison (1). Whether cheering for the Dallas Stars or creating memorable moments together, the Chambers family thrives on connection and creativity. Ryan even co-hosts Starcastic Remarks, a lively podcast about the Dallas Stars, with his brothers and fellow Farmersville alumni, Chris and James.
